I have been following Shaba’s work since the beginning. Seeing her on stage, and later her students, always encouraged me to be there with them, to dance with them to the rhythm, because the liberated feeling they conveyed to me always attracted me. Later I was able to join them at age 40+, so before that I had never danced in my life. Today I am over 50+. Part of Shaba Oriental Art. I am proud to be here. It was a long way to find the small nuances of the rhythm, the control of the body for the beat. I received a lot of help, encouragement, patience, and love from my teachers Shaba and Ági Jójárt, as well as from my fellow dancers, who are also my friends. We learned to dance together, to think, to exist as a team, to rely on each other in joy and in difficulty. I found myself, but there is always another goal I want to achieve.. I couldn’t be in a better place to achieve them. I like to be with you, to dance. Thank you very much for being part of the company. (Kati)
